Cu peste 10 milioane de vize Schengen emise \u0219i peste jum\u0103tate de miliard de pasageri travers\u00e2nd frontierele sale, zona a atins un impresionant 92% din nivelurile pre-pandemice. Aceast\u0103 activitate robust\u0103 a alimentat semnificativ economia UE, subliniind rolul vital al turismului, care contribuie cu aproximativ 10% din PIB-ul UE \u0219i sus\u021bine aproximativ 22,6 milioane de locuri de munc\u0103.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>State of Schengen 2024:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Raportul ofer\u0103 o prezentare cuprinz\u0103toare a progreselor \u015fi provoc\u0103rilor din perioada 2023-2024. \u00cen timp ce recunoa\u0219te respectarea eficient\u0103 a regulilor Schengen, raportul identific\u0103 \u0219i domenii pentru \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bire:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Consolidarea cadrului legislativ:<\/strong> Noile reglement\u0103ri, inclusiv Codul frontierelor Schengen, Regulamentul informa\u021biilor privind pasagerii \u0219i Directiva privind schimbul de informa\u021bii \u00eentre autorit\u0103\u021bile de aplicare a legii, vizeaz\u0103 \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birea securit\u0103\u021bii \u0219i simplificarea procedurilor de frontier\u0103.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Guvernarea \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bit\u0103:<\/strong> Rolul Consiliului Schengen a fost consolidat, utiliz\u00e2nd instrumente precum Mecanismul de Evaluare \u0219i Monitorizare Schengen, Tabloul de Bordo Schengen \u0219i Barometrul Schengen+ pentru a asigura o analiz\u0103 eficient\u0103 a datelor \u0219i o cooperare \u00eentre statele membre.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Eforturi de extindere:<\/strong> Au fost \u00eentreprinse pa\u0219i pentru integrarea Bulgariei \u0219i a Rom\u00e2niei \u00een zona Schengen, marc\u00e2nd un moment semnificativ \u00een extinderea sa prin ridicarea controalelor la frontierele aeriene \u0219i maritime \u00eencep\u00e2nd cu 31 martie 2024.
