Minimum wage<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2021, the national minimum wage in Hungary remained fixed at 442.4 \u20ac \/ month that is 5,309 euros\/ year, taking into account 12 payments\/year.<\/p>\n

Legal working hours<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The daily working time in full-time jobs is eight hours (regular daily working time). Based on an agreement between the parties, the daily working time in full-time jobs may be increased to not more than twelve hours daily for employees:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. a) working in stand-by jobs;<\/li>\n
  2. b) who are relatives of the employer or the owner (extended daily working time).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    According to the work schedule:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. a) the daily working time of employees shall not exceed twelve hours;<\/li>\n
    2. b) the weekly working time of employees shall not exceed forty-eight hours<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Minimum number of days\/hours off:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

      At least eleven hours of uninterrupted rest period shall be provided after the conclusion of daily work and before the beginning of the next day\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

      Each week two rest days must be scheduled (weekly rest day).<\/p>\n

      Leave<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

      The amount of vested vacation time shall be twenty working days.<\/p>\n

      Employees shall be entitled to extra vacation time as follows:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. a) one working day over the age of twenty-five;<\/li>\n
      2. b) two working days over the age of twenty-eight;<\/li>\n
      3. c) three working days over the age of thirty-one;<\/li>\n
      4. d) four working days over the age of thirty-three;<\/li>\n
      5. e) five working days over the age of thirty-five;<\/li>\n
      6. f) six working days over the age of thirty-seven;<\/li>\n
      7. g) seven working days over the age of thirty-nine;<\/li>\n
      8. h) eight working days over the age of forty-one;<\/li>\n
      9. i) nine working days over the age of forty-three;<\/li>\n
      10. j) ten working days over the age of forty-five.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Notification requirement as per the Posted Workers Directive<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

        Undertakings that post workers on the territory of Hungary are required to submit a notification, that must include the following:<\/p>\n

        -Identification of the service provider<\/p>\n

        -Identification of the service provided<\/p>\n
